When I appreciate a man’s looks, I use ‘feminine’ words. Beautiful. Pretty. Lovely. Part of it’s a certain intent to disconcert, to test and to emphasise that I have my own standards of attractiveness and they may not be what you’d expect A warning that I don’t care especially for doing what’s expected. Another, though, is that I consider those words a higher compliment than ‘good-looking’ or ‘handsome’. I give them as an honour. I think of it as turning those sometimes-diminishing words into my own tool and blessing.I adore this, and I hope you don’t mind me re-blogging it :) I need to save it <3
Aww, I didn’t notice this till now — I *love* that it resonated with you and that you reblogged it, it’s a great compliment <3
